The Scouts Movement
The Scouts Movement
Scouting is a voluntary educational movement targeting young people especially in schools. It is a potent foundational base world over, as it aims at nurturing boys and girls. It helps inculcate values of responsibility, respect and commitment at a very young age. Our school, Potters House Academy has invested massively in this movement thus allowing many pupils discover and reinvent their abilities.
Potter House Scout leaders; Ms.Eucabeth K, Mr. Otiende Allan and Kesses Sub-County Commander under the County Commander (Uasin Gishu) have a well structured training that aims at improving the learners esteem hence boosting confidence and self-awareness.
We have attended many camps in the past, before the unfortunate interruption by Corona Virus, we visited Rwanda and this year , we managed to resume our normal programmes in scout camping competitions. Our school will represent the Mau region in this year’s national competitions held in Karen Nairobi. Camping brings scouts from all walks of life together and this propels us to grow appreciating our diversity and uniqueness.
