Home science is a C.B.C learning area that a learner can never wonder why he/she is studying because of its direct applicability. Through Home Science, learn­ers are equipped with skills and knowledge, which promotes healthy living, in terms of preparing and eating a healthy balanced diet, prevention of illness, observing personal hygiene and more so, learn­ers are able to appreciate the changes that occur in the body from childhood to adolescent stage.

With the full support of school management, learners are able to engage in various home sci­ence practical activities such as preparation and presentation of meals, food preservation and laun­dry work. Teaching and learning home science has therefore been interesting, learners in P.H.A perform very well, and this is mostly attributed to:
